Nandri hat das Ziel, durch Bildung die Situation von ausgegrenzten und armen Kindern und Familien nachhaltig zu verbessern. Da ist es besonders schön zu sehen, dass nun die erste Generation an Kindern, die ein Großteil ihres Lebens durch Nandri gefördert und unterstützt worden sind, nun auf Colleges gehen. Lesen sie dazu unten den Bericht (in englischer Sprache) von unseren Sozialarbeitern vor Ort.
Die fünf Mädchen gehen ihren eigenen Weg und entgehen so dem Schicksal einer frühen Verheiratung oder Arbeit unter schlimmsten Bedingungen. Sie werden damit zu Vorbildern vieler anderer Kinder – und können ihren eigenen Beitrag zur Verbesserung der Lebenssituation der Ureinwohner Indiens leisten. Sie als Sponsoren, Paten und Mitglieder des Vereins können sich mit uns über den schönen Erfolg unserer gemeinsamen Anstrengungen freuen!
Vasanthi, A First generation scholar hailing from Irula tribal family from a remote village known as Illeedu, situated in Cheyyur Taluk of Kanchipuram district. Father is sick and unable to go for work. Mother goes for agricultural labour that is not regular. Parents are not willing to send the girl for higher education and wanted her to go to a garment factory to earn money for her marriage. Vasanthi is very determined to pursue college education. We Care helped her to finish her higher secondary in a boarding school at Kuppaianallur managed by Jesuit priests. We Care is providing all the necessary support for Vasanthi to complete her college education. She has applied for B.Com in Stella Maris College.
Nirmala, A first generation scholar from Irula tribal community from Illedu village in Kanchipuram district. Nirmala lost her father when she was young. Mother is an agricultural labourer. Nirmala studied in Government Higher Secondary School in Chunambedu, a very remote village in Kanchipuram district. She was able to pass with minimum marks as there are no teachers in the Government school. Nirmala is ambitious and wants to get college education. She has applied for B.Voc (Sustainable Energy Management) in Stella Maris College. We Care will provide all the necessary support for Nirmala to complete her college education.
Sindhu Bairavi, A first generation scholar from Scheduled caste community (SC) from Thondamanallur village in Lathur block of Kanchipuram District. She also lost her father when she was 10 year old. Mother is working as a domestic maid. She attended our tuition program for the past six years. She was provided with bicycle to go to High School in nearby village and financially supported to complete her Higher Secondary in a private School in nearby town Pavunjur. She is very ambitious and wants to pursue college studies. She has applied for B.Sc (Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology) in Stella Maris College. We Care will provide all the necessary support for Sindhu Bairavi to complete her college education.
Ashwini A first generation scholar from Scheduled caste community (SC) from Thondamanallur village in Lathur block of Kanchipuram District. Her parents are casual labourers. Ashwini attended our tuition program for the past six years. She was provided with bicycle to go to High School in nearby village and financially supported to complete her Higher Secondary in a private School in nearby town Pavunjur. She is very ambitious and wants to pursue Medicine. She is preparing to write National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). We Care will provide all the necessary support for Ashvini to complete Medical Course.
Manju is a first girl completed her school finals in Pulikkundram Irula tribal colony known as Monika Nagar. This colony was developed by Nandri Kinderhilfe e.V in 2015 to provide a better living place to the poor Irula families living near a pond without any basic amenities. Manju is a role model for other children living in this village. Though very much interested to pursue higher studies, she was very hesitant to go to college due to her difficulty in learning English language and mathematics. She was counseled by the teachers and volunteers and now Manju is ready to go to college. She was admitted in Annai Theresa Women’s College in Thirukkazhukundram, a small situated near her village.
